Rachel M. Martens is the writer of the Poe gothic thriller series, including the award-winning Poe: Nevermore (2013), as well as the YA paranormal romance Metalhead (2019), the conspiracy thriller Patriots’ Dance (2024), and the short horror collection Midnight Hour (2017).  Her short fiction has also appeared in the anthologies Twisted Love (2021) and Stranger Than Truth (2021).  Martens travels extensively, taking inspiration from the places she visits and the books she reads along the way, but she always comes home to northern Wisconsin’s haunted forests and starry skies.
