Hi, I’m Ellis Grayson. Writing has always been my way of exploring “what if”—what if the world fell apart, what if ordinary people had to face the unimaginable, what if the reflection in the glass wasn’t really you? I’m drawn to stories that put everyday people in extraordinary situations, whether that’s a zombie apocalypse, a haunted mirror, or even the chaos of my own painting apprenticeship years ago.

My books blend gritty survival, dark twists, and a dash of Scottish humour, all rooted in places and characters that feel real. I don’t shy away from showing the cracks in people, because for me, that’s where the light and the truth come through.

When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me with a notebook full of new ideas, a paintbrush in hand, or lost in the Scottish outdoors gathering inspiration.
