For twenty-five years Dot Dudley's life has been an uphill battle. So when she finds a real genie in a bottle, she's skeptical that it will do her any good. Raji has had one tedious job for thousands of years: granting the same old wishes for greedy, self-satisfying masters. So when he finds himself in the twenty-first century, he sees an opportunity to have some much needed fun. But wishes can be unpredictable, and when Dot learns someone else is in pursuit of her genie, she and Raji won't have much time to decide if they are willing to take some terrifying risks to bring to pass a final wish that could change both of their lives for the better.
