Okay, WOW! ‘Final Girl’ is a front row seat into the mind of a woman who escaped captivity. It is a story of survival after surviving. Sometimes living in the aftermath of a real-life horror story is harder than going through the trauma in the first place, and ‘Final Girl’ captures that in a way that makes you hold your breath.

I had goosebumps from the first paragraph. The immediate threat was gone but somehow that made reading this short story that much more intense because now Lisa had to decide how to live with the life she was left with. The introspection gained from this story is simply amazing! It truly felt like I was the main character, maneuvering through decisions against my will, thus holding me as captive as Lisa.
